The Chen Bochui Children’s Bookstore in Baoshan District showed up again at this year’s Shanghai Book Fair, attracting young readers like a magnet.

Its booth presented 33 books that received the Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Awards from 2014 to 2016. They included foreign bestsellers like Beautiful Birds, Mr. Tiger Goes Wild, and Shh! We Have a Plan. Some were introduced to China for the first time.

Named after Chen Bochui (1906-1997), a renowned writer of children’s books and the director of Shanghai Children’s Publishing House, the bookstore also has a reading area where people can record their narrations and share them with friends online.
