The original features of a textile factory are still visible in the newly-opened 3D printing museum.

The China 3D Printing Culture Museum in Baoshan Wisdom Bay Science and Innovation Park opened last week with a forum on innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and 3D copyrights.

The six-storey museum is the first of its kind in the world and displays additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies and products in a space of 6,000 square meters.

The museum building was originally a textile factory. Its renovation preserved some old features to show the link between tradition and innovation. Visitors can see 3D printing applications in medicine, aerospace, fashion design, car making, construction and other areas.

The museum is located at 6 Wenchuan Road, a five-minute walk from Hulan Road Station on Metro Line 1.
